We’ve heard rumblings and speculation that there could well be some major changes coming to NXT – and now we have word on some big shake-ups for WWE’s gold and black brand.

Courtesy of Dave Meltzer, NXT is reportedly moving to the USA Network as of Wednesday, September 18th.

This move will see each NXT episode extended from one hour to two hours, with the showing airing live from 8pm to 10pm Eastern Time.

Meltzer claims that this will all officially be announced on tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw and that we’ll also tonight get confirmation of where the first few episodes of this new NXT will emanate from.

Of course, this comes ahead of All Elite Wrestling premiering their weekly TNT TV show on Wednesday, October 2nd – meaning WWE is looking to get the jump on AEW two weeks before All Elite airs its first weekly TV offering.

What this means for NXT on the WWE Network remains to be seen. Likewise, it’s not yet known how international markets will be able to view this new live two-hour NXT product once that move to the USA Network happens.

Keep your eyes peeled to tonight’s Raw for more details.

Once described as the Swiss Army Knife of WhatCulture, Andrew can usually be found writing, editing, or presenting on a wide range of topics. As a lifelong wrestling fan, horror obsessive, and comic book nerd, he's been covering those topics professionally as far back as 2010. In addition to his current WhatCulture role of Senior Content Producer, Andrew previously spent nearly a decade as Online Editor and Lead Writer for the world's longest-running genre publication, Starburst Magazine, and his work has also been featured on BBC, TechRadar, Tom's Guide, WhatToWatch, Sportkskeeda, and various other outlets, in addition to being a Rotten Tomatoes-approved film critic.
