Report: WWE Staying "Tight-Lipped" Over NXT Rebrand
New details on how WWE is approaching the upcoming NXT reboot.
WWE is keeping details on the upcoming NXT rebrand close to the vest.
This is according a new report from Fightful Select stating that while the revamp is assuredly on the way, lots of people within the developmental brand have been kept in the dark thus far. It is stated that while some talents knew the reboot was on the way, specific details haven't been disclosed to them, with WWE staying tight-lipped on the new branding.
One wrestler mentioned that the Capitol Wrestling Center itself was in the process of being taken apart, leading them to the belief that changes are coming to the venue.
WWE President and Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan confirmed NXT's fresh coat of paint in an interview with BT Sport's Ariel Helwani two weeks ago. The brand's new logo was revealed over the weekend, then advertised on this week's episode of Raw, with the old black and gold set to trade its dark, metal aesthetic for brighter tones.
There's currently no word on when, exactly, WWE will pull the trigger on NXT's relaunch, though the show is currently in the midst of a three-show pretaped run. Live broadcasts return on 14 September.
