Reports: WWE Wants 45,000 Fans For Each Night Of WrestleMania 37
WWE will look to fill 75% of Raymond James Stadium on 10 and 11 April for WrestleMania 37.
Multiple reports state that WWE is aiming to bring 45,000 fans into Tampa, Florida's Raymond James Stadium for WrestleMania 37 on 10 and 11 April.
Dave Meltzer wrote as much in last week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, reporting that WWE had upped its number from the initial target of 30,000.
City of Tampa officials held meetings with local hotels on 10 March, telling them WWE would attempt to run Raymond James at 75% capacity, which is where the 45,000 comes from. The stadium would hold around 60,000 fans at full capacity with the WrestleMania stage in place.
Meltzer also noted that WWE tendency to exaggerate its WrestleMania attendances could see them announce more than 45,000 on the night, though this is the number they have requested.
Spectrum Sports' reporter Jon Alba has confirmed the report independently:-
WrestleMania 37 tickets are set to go on sale tomorrow (16 March), with the promotion confirming a limited number will hit the market priced between $35 and $2,500. WWE is yet to clarify how many tickets will be made available at that time.
Per Ticketmaster (via PWInsider), WrestleMania 37 tickets will be sold in pods of 1-6 people. Pods must be purchased in their entirety and cannot be split between different parties, or transferred to anyone other than family and close friends.
