Death, taxes, and Lana going through announce tables...

In what might be the most absurd dribble of anti-logic to make it out of a WWE creative meeting all year (and think of the ground that covers), WWE is reportedly having Nia Jax put Lana through a table every week on Raw because they believe it will eventually make the ‘Ravishing Russian’ a “hot babyface.”

This is according to Dave Meltzer. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, he said that he had heard this would be the plan around the “second or third” week of Jax putting Lana through the announce table, adding that it will continue for the foreseeable future.

Burials are, of course, always extremely effective in getting fans invested in a rising babyface.

The announce table was smashed beneath Lana’s body for the sixth consecutive week on the latest episode of Raw. This came after Lana had won a four-way bout to claim the fifth and final spot on the brand’s women’s Survivor Series elimination team, after which she hugged Jax at ringside. The ‘Irresistible Force’ didn’t care about any of this, however, and decided to crush Lana regardless.

It is also noted that Bruce Prichard and Ed Koskey are scripting the angle, which they believe will turn Lana into a “popular figure.”
