In some unfortunate news, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio appears to have suffered an injury on last night's Raw.

With Raw GM Adam Pearce reinstating Bron Breakker last night, confirmed all four members of the Vision as entrants in the men's Royal Rumble this weekend, Pearce then announced that Austin Theory would be taking on Rey Mysterio right there and then, tying into Mysterio, Penta, and Dragon Lee picking up a win over Theory, Logan Paul, and Bronson Reed on last week's Raw thanks to shenanigans involving brass knuckles.

After plenty of interference, Theory would get the win over Rey-Rey last night, putting him away with a Stomp after approximately 11 minutes. Post-match, the Vision put a beating on Penta and Dragon Lee, though Mysterio stayed towards the ring apron, holding his shoulder, and being talked to by referee Rod Zapata, with Zapata holding up the X sign that's so often been used to indicate a wrestler is legitimately hurt.

While the specifics of this injury aren't known just yet, Bryan Alvarez of f4wonline reports that Rey Mysterio did, unfortunately, suffer a very real injury last night. As mentioned, Mysterio did seem to be favouring his shoulder, but it remains to be seen whether this is indeed a shoulder issue or if it's something else.

Rey had previously declared himself as being part of the men's Royal Rumble this Saturday, though this now throws up plenty of questions surrounding the legend's involvement this weekend. Here's hoping it's nothing too serious for the former three-time WWE World Champion.
