Rey Mysterio Reveals Who He Thinks Should Be His Son's First Opponent
Dominick could be in for a hell of a first match.
Rey Mysterio has revealed his preferred first opponent for his son Dominic's first wrestling match.
In a recent appearance on GalaxyCon’s Rock Around The Ring, Mysterio suggested a few current stars for the job, with Andrade, Angel Garza and Cesaro being his top picks at this moment in time.
'I think without a doubt, just because of the style he brings, Andrade would be awesome. Andrade or [Angel] Garza. I think they would be incredible against my son. But Cesaro would do incredible as well just because of the height.'
All three of the aforementioned talents could comfortably shepherd the son of the iconic Luchador through his first WWE match and probably produce a highly entertaining exchange.
Mysterio also poked fun at the fact his son is significantly taller and heavier than him, saying, 'Dominik is 6’2″ 195 pounds and still to this day I tell my wife I’d love to DNA him because I believe he’s not my son (laughs).'
Dominick has recently been involved in Mysterio's ongoing feud with Seth Rollins on Monday Night Raw, appearing in a recorded promo segment a few weeks ago.
Could we see him face off against the Monday Night Messiah any time soon? Or possibly even tag with his father in a contest?
The future looks bright for the heir to the 619.
