WWE has interest in signingindependent wrestling star Ricochet, and according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the high-flyer's future plans should reportedlybe known within the week.

Ricochet has long helda reputation as the most dazzling, agile, and athletic star in the entire industry, but over the last couple of years, he's truly broken out as potentially the independent scene's hottest talent.

Ricochet collected a host of titles in Japan's Dragon Gate promotion, but in 2014 he made a mark stateside when he defeated Johnny Gargano for Dragon Gate USA's Open the Freedom Gate Championship.

Later that year, he won New Japan's Best of the Super Juniors XXI tournament, and in 2015, he and Matt Sydal won the company's Super Junior Tag Tourmanent. This past February, they captured the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles.

Ricochet's biggest break has come on Lucha Underground, however, where he competes as the masked Prince Puma. Under this persona, he became the first-ever Lucha Underground Champion and would later team with Rey Mysterio, Jr. and Dragon Azteca, Jr. to win the group's Trios Titles.

This heightened exposure helped Ricochet capture the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Best Flying Wrestler Award in 2014 and 2015, joining his first win in 2011.
