On a week that has seen Ring Of Honor engulfed by what felt like a crisis at the time of reporting, it has now been revealed that the promotion's tape library is up for sale.

SI's Justin Barrasso reported as much on Thursday. It'll end up going to the highest bidder, though ROH has apparently been attempting to sell its Sinclair-owned library for over a year (Barrasso states that this would mean shows from 2012 onwards).

Interestingly, the historic All In pay-per-view of September 2018 will also be included in this, as ROH currently owns the footage for the landmark independent. All In effectively served as a stepping stone for All Elite Wrestling's eventual formation, which was announced less than four months later. Though AEW owns the All In trademark, ROH has the rights to the footage.

WWE had previously looked like potential frontrunners for the library. This would have made sense when the market-leader promotion had hordes of ex-ROH wrestlers on their roster, though many of those names have now been released.

Wednesday saw ROH announce a hiatus stretching from December 2021 to April 2022. It was later reported that all of the company's wrestlers were being released, with the group set to proceed as an indie going forward, working with uncontracted wrestlers.
