Rumour Killer On "Major Star" Joining AEW At Revolution 2021

Whoever AEW's big surprise debutant is, it probably won't be this Hall of Fame worthy talent...

Wrestling Inc.'s Raj Giri has confirmed that Christian is currently signed to WWE, effectively ruling Captain Charisma out of the running for All Elite Wrestling's "hall of fame worthy" debut at Revolution 2021 this weekend.

Christian's name entered the conversation following Paul Wight's announcement on Dynamite. Though the 47-year-old had returned to WWE at Royal Rumble 2021, his contract status was ambiguous, with conflicting speculation on whether or not he was actually inked to WWE.

For now, that speculation can be put to bed.

Christian would fit the billing as a HOF-calibre athlete, though he has never been inducted to WWE's own hall. One of his generation's most charismatic figures, he is a former World Heavyweight, ECW, Intercontinental, and Tag Team Champion, and as decorated a singles wrestler as he is a tag team guy, with plenty of opportunities to add to those accolades now that he is cleared again.

News of Christian's WWE contract comes within 24 hours of CM Punk and Batista both ruling themselves out of the mystery debutant spot, thinning the pool.

At this stage, it's hard to tell who, exactly, AEW has up their sleeves.
