With last night’s AEW Dynamite seeing Paul Wight reveal he’ll be introducing a huge new signing at this weekend’s Revolution PPV, that’s led to plentiful speculation on which “Hall of Fame-worthy” name will be the latest talent becoming All Elite.

Two of the many names thrown out by speculating fans have been those of Batista and CM Punk. When prodded on social media about turning up in AEW, both the Animal and the Second City Saint have been quick to give their thoughts on these rumblings.

For Big Dave – who was meant to headline the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame – he doubled-down on the fact that he’s one of the few wrestlers who really, really, really is retired.

As for Punk, he was a smidge blunter than Batista when quizzed on who he thinks would be the best addition to the AEW roster.

In addition to Batista and CM Punk being suggested as candidates to fill this much-hyped spot come Saturday’s Revolution show, rumour and innuendo for the gig has ranged from Mark Henry, to Christian, to Pat McAfee, to Trish Stratus, to Kurt Angle, to Mick Foley, to Kane, to Marty Jannetty and to anyone whose ever laced up a pair of boots.
