Rumour Killer On WWE's Bold WrestleMania 39 Plans For Money In The Bank

WWE might bring MITB to WrestleMania, but a rumoured early pick as winner isn't true.

Fightful Select's WWE sources tell them there's no truth to rumours that the company has already handpicked LA Knight as the next Money In The Bank winner.

The website is reporting that current chatter about Triple H holding male and female MITB matches on the WrestleMania 39 card are also unconfirmed. If true, that'd mean 'The Game' is planning on scrapping Money In The Bank as a standalone pay-per-view and would instead sanction gimmick bouts on 'Mania going forwards.

It's all just rumour though.

One source told Fightful that Knight is "a great performer", but dismissed notions he's being considered for that MITB briefcase this far out. The same person also said WWE has no "definitive plans" for the gimmick quite yet.

Money In The Bank has been running since 2005, but WWE turned it into a pay-per-view in 2010. The latest winner, Austin Theory, failed to successfully cash in on United States Champ Seth Rollins recently - this was a new low for the MITB concept.
