Sami Zayn Isn't Sure Major WWE Storyline Would've Been The Same Under Vince McMahon

Would Sami Zayn have become The Honorary Uce on Vince McMahon's watch?

Sami Zayn has doubts whether his current storyline with The Bloodline would've worked out the same way it has with Vince McMahon in charge.

Speaking during a brilliant sit-down interview with BT Sport's Ariel Helwani, The Honorary Uce admitted that he wasn't so sure arguably the most compelling tale being told in all of wrestling at this moment in time would've been given the space it needed to breathe and grow had his former boss still been in control of creative.

As Zayn would notably confess, "before Triple H was on creative, I never got on-screen with Roman." But then, once The Game was handed the keys to the creative kingdom, the loveable star finally got his chance to test out the pair's chemistry on WWE TV.

Zayn would also note how the whole thing could've just been a coincidence, with a whole lot of stars aligning on the night of his and Roman's first appearance on-screen in their current forms, including The Usos and Paul Heyman not being around and the show going down in Sami's hometown of Montreal.

Could there have been a chance that Zayn may have still ended up working on-screen with Reigns down the road had Vince still been booking the action? Perhaps. But as Zayn would explain during his chat with Helwani, he could very much point to the time when his current boss wasn't calling the shots and that lines up with the period he was "kept away" from The Tribal Chief on TV.

Simply put, Zayn doubts whether the storyline would've progressed to the point it has without Trips in the Gorilla position.

What other twists and turns lie ahead for Sami, Roman, Kevin Owens, and The Bloodline at tonight's Royal Rumble? We won't have to wait too long to find out...
