Sami Zayn Shoots On "WWE Conditioning"

Sami Zayn talks WWE, Roman Reigns and more during a gripping chat with Renee Paquette.

Sami Zayn has credited Roman Reigns for his "awesome" reinvention, but also wants to point out how many people were responsible for helping him.

That's a big thing for Sami, but he's not singling Roman out; Zayn told Renee Paquette's 'Oral Sessions' podcast that the WWE system is geared towards thinking "like you’re the man and you wanna be in the top spot". He called it, "through a lens sort of dominance".

Explaining, Sami said that Reigns fab status as SmackDown's top dog is partly due to years of hard work from others. Basically, nobody can thrive in pro wrestling without working together, and that's something Zayn believes the WWE system makes people forget.

Renee nodded along as Sami continued by turning the spotlight onto himself: "You can be the best promo in the world. Who you gonna cut a promo on if nobody’s there to work with you?".

That's a very good point.

Zayn thinks WWE's approach often ignores the "totality of the picture". It doesn't really feed the idea that a hungry locker room of peers who get along (whilst still being competitive) can produce amazing results.
