SAnitY Debut Delayed Due To Trademark Reasons?
Bringing the inSAnitY to the trademark office.
According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live, there could be issues with trademarking that have prevented SAnitY from making their official debut on the main roster.
WWE announced that SAnitY, the NXT stable consisting of Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe, and Killian Dain, would be joining the SmackDown Live! tag team division during this year's Superstar Shakeup. A few vignettes aired to promote the group's impending arrival, but they have since been discontinued with SAnitY nowhere in sight, except for two live events in Texas this past weekend.
After their imposing debut in October 2016, SAnitY went on to pick up the NXT Tag Team Championships the following August, and also took part in the inaugural WWE-promoted WarGames Match. The group quickly established themselves as some of the best workers in WWE, so when the second annual Superstar Shakeup was revealed on the post-WrestleMania 34 Raw, they were amongst the front runners to make the jump.
Alvarez has stated that there could be some issues with trademarking something relating to the group, which has hindered WWE's plans with their main roster call-up. Although it's unknown at this time what the specific trademark problem is, WWE may have since cleared up the issues considering Young, Wolfe, and Dain have now debuted on live events.
