Santino Marella Wins US Title From Jack Swagger on WWE Raw

On last night's WWE Raw SuperShow from Boston, a new United States Champion was crowned! In the first match of the night Santino Marella continued the biggest push of his career when he defeated Jack Swagger to become the new WWE United States Champion. This is Santino's third major title in the WWE having won the WWE Intercontinental Title on two occasions and the WWE Tag Team Championship once with Vladimir Kozlov. Though the title change seems more to further the Team Laurinaitis vs Team Long feud that is heading into WrestleMania's multi-man tag match than it has with rewarding Marella for his last few weeks of getting over to a new level. Poor Jack Swagger though, I'm not sure what he has done but he must have pissed somebody off backstage. Swagger has had such a quiet run as US Champion since he defeated Zack Ryder some weeks ago and has mostly been relegated to matches on WWE Superstars since.
