Sasha Banks made her long awaited in-ring return last night on Friday Night SmackDown on FOX.
Having not wrestled since the January 3 episode of the blue show, Banks tagged with her best buddy SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley to take on the team of Naomi and Lacey Evans in an impromptu showdown - after Bayley and Naomi's scheduled match-up devolved into chaos.
Banks had been kept away from the ring partially due to the fact that she was recording an album with her cousin Snoop Dogg and also because of an apparent injury which was keeping her from being medically cleared to compete.
Numerous matches between herself and Evans were scheduled earlier in the year and then written around to avoid Banks having to take part in a physical contest. However, it now appears that Banks is back in the physical mix of things again and her presence on the blue brand could have major implications for the show's Women's division in the build up to WrestleMania 36.
There was a SmackDown Women's Title number one contender Elimination Chamber match being hinted at for the titular PPV next Sunday. Could Banks potentially be thrown into that barbaric structure, win and then take on her best bud at the Show of Shows?
All will hopefully be revealed in the coming weeks.
