Corey Graves has hinted that WWE running Saturday night pay-per-views over the traditional Sunday slot could become a "semi-regular" occurrence.

The Raw announcer guested on 'Throwing Down' with Renee Paquette and Miesha Tate - during that interview, Graves said that he personally enjoyed working the Royal Rumble on Saturday instead of Sunday. The rejigged scheduling meant that he got to rest his voice for a full day before then launching into WWE's flagship show on Monday night.

That's something Raw's commentary team really appreciated.

Corey also felt more energy in the building for the Rumble and last August's SummerSlam event. He believes fans like the Saturday night deal too, because they're already fired up about going out for drinks post-show and probably don't have work or school the next morning.

This is apparently something Vince McMahon has started thinking about, and it could mean that WWE present more Saturday night "premium live events" going forwards. WrestleMania 38 is already slated to take place over a full weekend in early-April.

Beyond that, who knows? Graves wouldn't be adverse to more Saturdays though. He liked giving his voice a mini-break.
