Impact's backstage tapings were brought to a sudden halt last night, following a health scare involving returning legend Scott Steiner.

Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reported that Steiner collapsed whilst recording pre-tapes for Impact's upcoming TNA special in Atlanta, GA. He was apparently "rushed to hospital", with Sapp describing the situation as "looking rough".

Pro Wrestling Sheet later reported that Steiner was attended by on-scene paramedics, before being whisked to the emergency room.

Thankfully, Impact Wrestling EVP Scott D'Amore posted that Steiner was doing OK, Tweeting:

"For all concerned parties, @ScottSteiner is OK. His family is grateful for everybody's concern and support."

Tommy Dreamer, also present at the tapings, similarly wrote:

"I'm at the hospital right now w/@ScottDAmore @JoeyRyanOnline. Scott Steiner is doing well. And under great care. Say a prayer for Big Poppa Pump. Holla if ya hear me."

There is currently no confirmed word on the cause of the 57-year-old's medical emergency WhatCulture.com would like to wish Steiner the speediest of recoveries.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
