Whilst WWE's main roster were busying themselves making money over in Saudi Arabia last night, it was business as usual for the NXT lot, who simultaneously performed in a house show in their home base of Orlando, FL.

That said, there was one surprise in store for the domestic audience. Since it was Halloween, Bronson Reed emerged for his match dressed like WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi. That wasn't the surprise though; after the contest, the dancing Samoan's former tag partner and NXT trainer Scotty 2 Hotty ran down from Gorilla, hitting his trademark 'worm' to the absolute delight of the crowd in attendance.

Interestingly, last night's cameo isn't Scotty's first NXT appearance. He lost in a tag team title defeat to The Ascension at TakeOver: ArRival in 2014, having previously beat Heath Slater on a TV taping two years prior.

The context of Reed's Rikishi homage means this is almost certainly a one-off, and we shouldn't expect a full-on return for the former Too Cool man. That said, if he wanted to, he's in good enough nick.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
