Hands up who expected X-Pac to show up when GCW hit the Hammerstein Ballroom?

A bunch of surprise appearances went down at last night's The Wrld on GCW show, with Sean 'X-Pac' Waltman the biggest name to show up.

X-Pac's appearance went down after Matt Cardona's chaotic match with Joey Janela. Following a bout heavy on interferences, the D-Generation X man emerged to a colossal pop from the sold-out Hammerstein Ballroom crowd, clearing Cardona and GCW debutant Brian Myers out of the ring after the former Zack Ryder had pinned Janela in his home promotion.

Clad in a GCW t-shirt, Waltman landed a couple of signature wheel kicks before hitting his X-Factor finisher. A teased Bronco Buster couldn't be paid off when Cardona and Myers made their exits, however.

Nothing has been announced yet, but it appeared from this angle that GCW were teasing a tag bout pitting Waltman and Janela against Myers and Cardona. X-Pac hasn't wrestled since April 2019, though he has continually talked up the possibility of returning to the ring in 2022, having spent the last few years recuperating.

Along with Waltman and Myers, Hornswoggle, Marko Stunt, Virgil, and 'Smart' Mark Sterling were amongst the other surprise appearances on the show.
