Seth Rollins has challenged CM Punk to a match at WWE WrestleMania 35. Speaking to 101 WKQK radio in Chicago ahead of WWE's Survivor Series PPV on Sunday night, the former Universal Champion challenged Punk to go one-on-one with him following their recent Twitter spat.

For me, the only place the match happens is at WrestleMania, in the main event" Rollins said when asked about the possibility of working a match with Punk in future. "That's the only reason I'm picking a fight with him. I've got no other interest than that. If he's interested, it's out there. Any time you're ready, let's go."

Following Punk's indirect return to the company as a commentator on Fox's new WWE Backstage show, he had advised Rollins to "stop tweeting" in order to help his strained relationship with the fans. Rollins responded, and I hope you're sitting down for this, by tweeting. Challenging Punk to face him directly.

"Maybe he's hiding out in LA, waiting to sit behind his little desk. Or maybe he's a little keyboard warrior too, who knows? I don't know what he's up to, but he bottom line is - wherever, whenever he wants to do the thing, if he wants to man up and do it, I'm there.

"We're in his backyard, right? Literally, we could probably get to his house in like 10 minutes. I don't know where he lives but we could probably get there pretty quickly. He knows where I'm going to be Sunday, and Monday, and maybe Saturday. Maybe Friday, who knows? He knows for sure where I'm going to be on Sunday and Monday".

CM Punk's presence on a WWE-adjacent product will naturally invite all manner of speculation over a potential in-ring return, but this back-and-forth is the closest we've had to anything even resembling a workable program. Watch this space.
