Seth Rollins' Injury Sends SHOCKWAVES Through WWE Booking Plans (WWE News)

The vision of WWE Raw is probably about to change...

At WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, Seth Rollins was put on the injury list when damaging his knee in an enforced loss to LA Knight.

This, according to Fightful Select, caused "several dominoes to fall". The sense of panic disrupted the show, ultimately leading to Goldberg's retirement speech being cut short. It was noted in Sean Ross Sapp's report that at least one higher-up apologised to Goldberg for the timing miscue, which from NBC's standpoint could not be prevented. The "hard out" means no exceptions.

This injury - depending on the severity - could also significantly impact WWE's medium-to-long-term booking plans...

Opinion - This Is The LAST Thing WWE Needed

Bron Breakker Seth Rollins

Ever since the Raw after the WrestleMania 41 Premium Live Event, WWE has positioned Seth Rollins as the fulcrum of the Monday Night flagship. Every happening at the top level of the show orbits around him, directly or otherwise.

There's CM Punk, who remains locked in and on-off grudge rivalry with Rollins, which has yet to be paid off decisively. There's the World Heavyweight title picture, which Seth, as 'Mr. Money In The Bank', was surely set to capture before the end of 2025. There's likely 2026 Royal Rumble winner Sami Zayn, against whom the unnamed Seth-led faction have acted as antagonists. On the subject of the stable, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed are left in close to a precarious position. Penta's arc could also be affected. Much of the WWE roster is potentially stuck here.

So what happens?

WWE could and you could argue should push Breakker hard - if in fact Rollins is out for a very long time. WWE in general could do with a youth movement of sorts in the men's main event scene. There's a very familiar quality to it in 2025. Who was the last men's singles wrestler who was A) elevated to the top of the card permanently and B) who hadn't already been in and around it for several years?

Beon Breakker is a huge project. Perhaps it's time now for WWE to show, and not just tell.
