Seth Rollins Sets New Record With WWE Title Reign

The history maker.

Seth Rollins has set a new record with his continued WWE Championship reign. He's currently on 182 days as Champion, and looks to be holding the belt for the foreseeable future. What went unnoticed recently, was that the reign is now a record for a Money In The Bank cash in. He has held the title for longer than any other cash-in winner. The Miz was the previous record holder, having held the belt for 160 days when he cashed in on Randy Orton in November 2010. That reign was eventually ended by John Cena in May 2011, but only after Miz had successfully defended the belt over Cena at WrestleMania 27. Kane has the bronze medal for the record, having held the World Title after cashing in MITB on Rey Mysterio in July 2010. He held the belt until December of that year, when he eventually lost to Edge. For Rollins to now be the most successful Money In The Bank cash-in in history, it tells you all you need to know about WWE's commitment to him. He may play the cowardly heel champion (a role Ric Flair made a load of money in) but he has always been pushed strongly. He owns victories over John Cena and Brock Lesnar in 2015, and was both WWE and US Champion this summer. Raw ratings are declining and Network subscriptions are volatile, but blame for that is across the WWE as a whole. Seth Rollins is the best wrestler in the world and his title reign has been viewed a success.
