Shane McMahon Announced As Ideanomics Executive Chairman
Shane O'Mac lands a new role at the financial technology company.
Ideanomics has today announced that Shane McMahon is the company's new Executive Chairman.
McMahon founded China Broadband Inc. back in 2004, which later become Indeanomics in 2017. Bruno Wu was behind the financial technology company when it became Ideanomics, and he stepped down as Executive Chairman this past December.
On his appointment as Executive Chairman, a statement from Shane reads:
“We recently launched the transformation of Ideanomics as we vertically enter the exciting EV and hydrogen fuel cell space. We now have a powerful management team in place to ensure Ideanomics’ success. I’m proud of what the new team has achieved in such a short amount of time and more importantly, I am thrilled for what’s yet to quickly come. I look forward to helping the company’s growth, vision, and momentum stay on track as we enter this new phase for Ideanomics.”
As of now, Shane McMahon is still listed as an active member of the WWE Raw roster, with him last competing for Vince McMahon's sports entertainment juggernaut at WrestleMania 37 - losing to Braun Strowman in a Steel Cage contest.
Whether this new role will have any direct influence on Shane O'Mac's WWE career remains to be seen.
