Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker: 9 Reasons We're Not Sure How To Feel

Is this awesome or terrible?

Shortly before the February 22nd version of Monday Night Raw went to air a rumor began circulating that the show would kick off with a huge, game-changing surprise. That surprise turned out to be the return of Shane McMahon, last see on WWE back in 2009 during an angle with Randy Orton and Legacy. Shane's appearance received what was legitimately the biggest pop since Daniel Bryan won the WWE world championship at WrestleMania 30, and he quickly inserted himself into the Authority storyline by confronting his father and sister. He told them they'd both run the company into the ground - something that received a tremendous cheer from the crowd - and said he was there to take back control. Vince said he would relinquish the reigns (pun intended) if Shane would wrestle one last match of his choosing, which turned out to be a bout against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32 inside Hell in a Cell. The reports that Taker would be facing someone who was not an active wrestler ended up being spot on, but not one single person accurately predicted it would he Shane. Are we excited? Let down? I think it's a little bit of both, so let's talk about why wrestling fans are struggling with these conflicted emotions, shall we?
