Shawn was also asked about his feelings on the Elimination Chamber, and his involvement in the very first one. He spoke about how he had reservations about how successful the match would be, and the level of performance he and others in it would be able to achieve. According to Shawn, the Elimination Chamber didn't have the same potential as other gimmick matches, especially in comparison to ones like ladder matches. He felt the structure was too rigid, and from a creative standpoint, there's wasn't much he felt could be done with it. He also talked about he and Jericho being the first two entrants, and that they weren't particularly keen on the steel grate and chained walls because they literally had no give. Shawn also said that the entry order of the match got messed up, because the flashing light that signalled the next entrant accidentally got shone on Kane too early. He joked about how at that point everyone in the match turned their heads and said, 'Are you kidding me?', but they all felt they could handle the change in plans because everyone involved was so well practiced at that point. He briefly mentioned his conversation with Vince about him winning the match, and with it the World Heavyweight title. Shawn was reluctant to win, because he didn't want to have a full-time schedule, and therefore shouldn't be champion; but Vince talked him round saying it would be a 'feel good moment'. Every time Shawn quoted Vince he'd do an impression. Vince would probably find it funny. The audience definitely did.
