Sheamus To Star In New WWE Studios Movie
Production on The Buddy Games starts in August.
Sheamus is set to play a role in WWE Studios' next movie, as announced on last night's Raw.
Transformers actor Josh Duhamel, who will direct the project, revealed the news while providing guest commentary as Sheamus,
Cesaro, and Elias Samson faced Finn Balor and The Hardy Boyz, with Deadline revealing further information shortly after the show.
Entitled The Buddy Games, the film will be Duhamel's directorial debut, and is expected to begin shooting in August. Jude Weng and Bob Schwartz helped write the script, and Duhamel will also serve as a producer alongside Weng and WWE Studios President Michael Luisi.
The plot focuses on a group of 30-something friends who reunite to play the Buddy Game - a "wild assortment of absurd physical and mental challenges." As they progress, the group will right past wrongs, heal old wounds, and discover the true meaning of friendship, or die trying.
This'll be the eighth film role of Sheamus' career, with his most high-profile turn coming in 2016's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows, in which he played Rocksteady. There's no word on whether or not the current Raw Tag Team Champion will miss any WWE TV time during filming.
