Shelton Benjamin Makes Unique WWE History On Raw

What did the new 24/7 Champion just become the first man to do?

The Twitter account @WWEStats posted an interesting stat about Shelton Benjamin after he won the 24/7 Title from R-Truth on last night's episode of Raw.

According to the tweet, Shelton is now the only wrestler in the company who has won the Intercontinental, United States, Raw Tag-Team and 24/7 Titles. Of course, the latter is a comedy prop that doesn't exactly represent a push from WWE management.

A title's a title and it's not like Benjamin gets the chance to make WWE history much these days. He probably wouldn't even be aware of his 'first ever' status without reading this or being told by someone backstage though.

There was a time when it seemed certain that Shelton would be shunted further up the card and possibly challenge for the World Titles. That ship has certainly sailed, but this unique stat shows that he's still making minor waves.

Nobody else has earned that combination of championships during their career in WWE. Now, maybe an alliance with MVP can do for Benjamin what it has done for Bobby Lashley. Everything MVP touches turns to TV gold at the moment.
