Shinsuke Nakamura Gets "New" Music On WWE SmackDown

Nakamura goes back to the past on last night's episode of WWE SmackDown.

The rapping is gone.

Shinsuke Nakamura re-debuted his original entrance music on Friday's episode of WWE SmackDown, and some fans would've been glad to hear it again. The company mixed up Shin's tune several years ago to prep him for a heel run and WWE Title tilt against AJ Styles.

Almost three years on, the gorgeous violins and cinematic feels of Naka's first theme were back in force for his match with Jey Uso. That's a match Shinsuke won too, so it looks like he's heading for a fairly big singles push; Nakamura's heel tag-team with Cesaro has been put on ice for the time being too. It wouldn't really fit if WWE want to turn Shin face anyway.

His "new" entrance music comes hot on the heels of reports from The Wrestling Observer that WWE view Shinsuke as a viable opponent for Roman Reigns. If Dave Meltzer is correct, then that's huge news. Nakamura seemed to be done as a singles force in the company, but he looked motivated again against Uso on Friday night.

The reinvigorated Japanese star might get his shot in February at Elimination Chamber.
