Shinsuke Nakamura Offers Insight Into His WWE Character At Japanese Press Conference

What does "The King of Strong Style" want to be called now?

Shinsuke Nakamura's WWE signing was officially announced at a press conference in Japan this morning, but that's not all that the former IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion revealed to reporters. Although the top brass at WWE has the final say, "The King of Strong Style" admitted that he has already told company officials that he wants to keep his real name, as well as his signature leather ring gear. That was just one of the press conference details reported by Japanese blogger Enuhito, who routinely covers the sport and offers English translations on his Twitter. According to the reporter, Nakamura also announced that he is talking to WWE's music department about his new entrance theme. "The King of Strong Style" dug deeper into the character that's made him one of the most talked-about wrestlers in the world, revealing that, personality-wise, he wants to be a combination of Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury. He also admitted that he doesn't watch other wrestlers' matches simply because he's more concerned with being original. Those worried that WWE will water down Nakamura's character can take heart - according to the five-time Intercontinental Champion, Triple H himself advised him, "Do what you like to do."
