WWE has officially announced that 'Sycho' Sid Eudy will be inducted into the company's Hall Of Fame during WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas next month. The 2-time WWF/WWE Champion will be honoured as part of a ceremony which also includes Stephanie McMahon, AJ Styles, Demolition and Dennis Rodman.

More names will be revealed in due course.

Sid will be going in as this year's 'Legacy' entrant. The former WWF, WCW and ECW star was a guaranteed head-turner whenever he appeared on shows throughout the 1980s and 90s. Whether he was known as Sid Justice, Sid Vicious (his WCW moniker) or Sycho Sid (his second WWE one), the big man proved to be popular and explosive as a character.

Sadly, Sid won't be in Vegas to give an acceptance speech. He passed away aged 63 on 26 August 2024. The entire wrestling world came together to collectively mourn that loss at the time, but it's fitting that people will be able to pay tribute to Justice/Vicious/Sycho on 17 April.

Sid enjoyed WWE runs between 1991-1992 and again between 1995-1997. Arguably his best work came during the latter stint when he adopted the Sycho name and had matches vs. The Undertaker, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and more.

Famously, Sid also had 2 runs as WCW World Heavyweight Champion across multiple spells with the promotion. His career pretty much ended with a horrific leg break at the group's Sin pay-per-view in January 2001, but he did return for one night only on the 25 June 2012 Raw to squash Heath Slater.

In truth, he'd been wrestling here or there on the independent scene for years by that point, but never in lengthy bouts. It's unclear at time of writing who'll actually induct Sid next month.
