Sign CM Punk May Be On The Verge Of Returning

CM Punk looks to be on the verge of making his long-awaited return to AEW.

With the reigning AEW World Champion not being seen on All Elite programming since announcing he had suffered a foot injury in June, speculation on precisely when The Best in the World will make his comeback to in-ring competition has been very much prevalent within the wrestling community.

Based on a photo captured recently of Punk at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, C2E2, and posted onto Reddit's SquaredCircle page, however, it looks as though the injured champ may be closer to a return than many realise.

Fans were quick to note how the star was still sporting a protective boot during his recent San Diego Comic-Con appearances alongside the rest of the AEW gang. But in said C2E2 showing, Punk can be seen sitting boot-free as he signed some lucky fans' merchandise.

With the boot now no-showing Punk's meet-and-greet appearances, it looks as though the star who bested Hangman Page at Double or Nothing 2022 has taken yet another positive step on the road to recovery. Whether this means the highly-anticipated AEW World Championship unification match will go down at All Out, though, still remains to be seen...
