Slammiversary XV: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
2. 2/3 Falls - X-Division Title: Sonjay Dutt (c) Vs. Low Ki
Result: Dutt nails a Reverse Warrior's Way to retain the title (18:16).
Rating: This had a slow, technical start but made every hit look wince-inducingly brutal, which counted for a lot. Low Ki winning the first fall with a Warrior's Way out of nowhere was incredible, though it's a shame this PPV for some reason did away with replays, so fans couldn't savour it again in glorious slow-mo.
Sure, the match followed the predictable formula of every 2/3 Falls Match ever, but it was still extremely entertaining thanks to the intense physicality, especially in the desperate third fall. Dutt winning was never in doubt in order to keep the Indian market interested, but at least he pulled off a great finish.
Though it took a few minutes to find a solid rhythm, this was still totally engrossing for the most part. 7/10
