With Cody Rhodes currently without a match at next month's Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, there now comes on update on who the American Nightmare will be stepping into the ring with on 1 July at London's O2 Arena.

Via insider Boozer #BWE, the plans is to have Cody take on Dominik Mysterio at Money in the Bank.

Of course, last week's Raw saw Rhodes and Mysterio exchange words, before Dom-Dom slapped Cody and then hid behind Rhea Ripley.

To get to Dominik vs. Cody, this report notes how two plans are being discussed. One would see Rhodes form a "temporary alliance" with Seth Rollins to battle the Judgment Day, while the other plan would be to have Cody and a partner team up to take on Dominik and Rhea Ripley ahead of a singles bout at Money in the Bank.

Given how Brandi Rhodes recently took a shot at Ripley on Twitter, already some are speculating that Cody's wife could find herself featured as part of this rivalry at some point.

Where Rollins is concerned, he and Cody had a phenomenal three-match series last year. Despite that, the Visionary nowadays has his own problems with the Judgment Day, and it seems as if Seth will be defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor at MITB.

Ahead of Money in the Bank, it doesn't seem implausible to think that Rhodes and Rollins will put their previous issues to one side, as they unite to battle the numbers of the Judgment Day.

Elsewhere, there is obviously the ominous shadow of Brock Lesnar looming large for Cody Rhodes, with Cody having through down the gauntlet for a third match between the pair; a match that is expected to take place at SummerSlam.
