Spoiler On World Title Match For IMPACT Bound For Glory 2022

The IMPACT World Title match at BFG will be...

Josh Alexander
IMPACT Wrestling

After retaining his IMPACT World Title in a barn-burner bout against Alex Shelley at Emergence on Friday, Josh Alexander will be defending that prize against Eddie Edwards at Bound for Glory this coming October.

As per Mike Johnson over at PWInsider, last night's set of IMPACT TV tapings saw Edwards established as the new #1 contender for the promotion's top prize. The one-time Heart and Soul of IMPACT Wrestling earned that title shot by winning an elimination match to decide who'll get to challenge Alexander next.

Of course, Eddie is no stranger to the IMPACT World Title, for that's a championship he's held twice previously. For the Walking Weapon, he himself is currently in the midst of his second run at the top of mountain - with this latest reign commencing at Rebellion this past April after Alexander was finally able to put an end to Moose's 182-day run with the World Championship.

Emanating from Albany, New York's Washington Avenue Armory, Bound for Glory 2022 takes place on Friday 7 October.

How the rest of the BFG card shapes up remains to be seen, but with the next batch of IMPACT TV taped last night, expect to see the PPV's line-up start to shape up as more live reports of these tapings came to the fore.
