Because plans change, pal.

We all know how WWE programming is so often victim to plentiful last minute changes, and Vince McMahon's sports entertainment giant has again followed that path by adding stipulations to two huge matches at today's Crown Jewel show.

Making this even more remarkable, one of these stipulations has already been axed before the match could even take place.

As the Crown Jewel Kickoff opened up, Kayla Braxton announced that Brock Lesnar vs. Universal Champion would now be a No DQ contest, whilst Bobby Lashley and Bill Goldberg's No Holds Barred battle would now also take place under Falls Count Anywhere rules.

Before the Kickoff offering wrapped up, though, Braxton reported that Lesnar vs. Reigns will now not be No DQ. The kayfabe reason given for this reversal of plans was that neither Brock nor Roman wanted any part of that stipulation.

Given how WWE Crown Jewel 2021 started all of two minutes ago (as of this writing), it remains to be seen whether any other stip will be added to Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns, and whether or not the additional Falls Count Anywhere element will stay in place for Lashley vs. Goldberg.
