Steve Austin has told Busted Open Radio (reported via @WrestlePurists) that he's "not lobbying" to have any further matches inside a pro wrestling ring. In fact, the WWE legend told interviewers that he's "done" in terms of actively wrestling. "Certain moments"? That's somewhat different.

The WWE Hall Of Famer would be open to appearing in a non-wrestling capacity, and he's certainly up for dishing out a few stunners here or there if it suits. He called it an honour that fans still want more of him after his well-received brawl with Kevin Owens back at WrestleMania 38 in 2022.

That opening night main event was a pleasant surprise. Austin looked good out there, and he was clearly having a blast as he and KO knocked lumps out of one another. However, 'Stone Cold' says that's definitely a wrap on his iconic career - he returned to the ring a full 19 years after seemingly retiring for good against The Rock in 2003 at 'Mania XIX.

It came as a shock, but the risk paid off for everyone involved. Immediately, there was chatter about what Austin would be doing next. Who would he be wrestling? Would he enter a future Royal Rumble? Would WWE coax him into a money-spinning bout over in Saudi Arabia?

None of it happened in the end.

Steve also revealed that a knee replacement he had done last year has been hugely beneficial day to day. "My leg feels good. I'm glad I got it done", he said. Continuing, Austin remarked: "I get the itch for certain moments, but to try to do a match? No".
