Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: See What WWE's Sheamus Looks Like As Rocksteady

They should probably have cast Rhyno...

Nice Becky Lynch goggles. The first trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (also known by its subtitle Out Of The Shadows, which makes it sound like an emo rock album) has arrived, bringing the first real look at WWE's Sheamus as mutant rhino (and all round legendary character) Rocksteady. For reference, here's what he looks like before he's subjected to the ooze...
Just your regular everyday street punk. Without his iconic mohawk, oddly. His full transformation into the rhino presumably comes later in the film after he and Bebop have started working for the new Shredder.
The trailer is pretty much a checklist for Michael Bay cliches (even though he's not directing, his producer credit seemingly grants him significant creative control). So in there we have several identifiable quirks: The slanty camera angles. Because listing off sideways is REALLY cool. Hardcore super slo-mo action. Loud booming bass noises. Megan Fox's midrif and breasts in close-up. EXPLOSIONS. Luckily, there's no sign of gigantic robotic genitals this time, but this is only the first trailer. So there's still time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=91&v=HeaugHGd1Kw Surprisingly, there's also some good nostalgia on show: Stephen Amell's Casey Jones looks like the real deal, rather than being a grotesque cartoonish version of the original (as you might expect), the Pizza Truck has the firing metal pizza pogs that came with the BEST toy of the 1990s and the turtles themselves look less like cavetrolls and more like cartoons. Plus both Bebop and Rocksteady actually look great both as humans and mutants. But you can probably still expect the film to be diabolical. The first one was legitimately one of the stupidest films ever released, but it did have a level of entertainment about it that was significantly higher than glum comic book movies like Fantastic Four. And at least you know what you're getting. What do you think of this first trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2? Share your reactions below in the comments thread.
