That Time WWE’s Iyo Sky Nearly Went To Prison

The use of marijuana is severely frowned upon in Japan and possession alone, even of small amounts, is punishable by a multiple year prison sentence. This incident could have ruined Sky’s entire career. In wrestling, at least in the United States, the general rule is that, if you are talented and marketable, you are mostly immune to scandal and are able to get away with unprofessional conduct. This was not the case here; if found guilty, Sky would have been stigmatised by the arrest forever.
