The Complete A-Z Of WrestleMania

15. L - Lawrence Taylor

Arguably the greatest celebrity in-ring display in company history on a showbiz-heavy WrestleMania 11 card, Lawrence 'LT' Taylor worked through clear exhaustion from early on to put in a worthy display against Bam Bam Bigelow.

The credit of course lies with 'The Beast From The East', who earned his greatest ever payday in putting over the ex-New York Giants linebacker as an increasingly desperate Vince McMahon went looking for renewed mainstream attention in the darkest reaches of the company's bleakest year.

Going on last, Taylor and Bigelow had huge expectations placed on them, after an absorbing angle kicked off at January's Royal Rumble exhibited the impressive potential of physicality between the pair.

Taylor was predictably limited, but did what he had to do very very well. Relying mainly on tackles, forearms and occasional moves, 'LT' carried his end of the load admirably, along with consummate professional Bigelow and special referee Pat Patterson, inserted to keep everything tied together in case of emergency.

With Taylor's 'All Pro Team' and Bigelow's 'Milllion Dollar Corporation' all present at ringside as well, the spectacle worked well enough the make the match a creative triumph.

Like most shows that year, WrestleMania 11 drew poorly on pay-per-view, but Taylor and Bigelow's efforts should not be undermined as result,
