The Complete A-Z Of WrestleMania

7. T - Toronto

Stone Cold Steve Austin The Rock
WWE

WrestleMania has twice travelled to 'The Great White North', and both shows emanating from Toronto's Skydome have featured matches that are now embedded in the company's rich history.

Hosting 'The Ultimate Challenge' in April 1990, WrestleMania 6 brought together WWE's two superheroes, as Intercontinental Champion The Ultimate Warrior dethroned perennial WWE Champion Hulk Hogan in a shockingly great main event.

The sprawling show also featured Andre The Giant's last in-ring appearance for WWE and Mr Perfect's first televised loss as the highlights of a mammoth undercard.

It would be Hogan and Warrior that fans would remember though, as the two engaged in an outstanding 20-plus minute effort before Warrior narrowly unseated 'The Hulkster'.

That night, Hogan would cynically undercut Warrior's celebration by handing him the title himself and drawing eyes to his exit, rather than the new champion's coronation. 12 years later, he pulled the same trick.

In an unforgettable contest with The Rock, Hogan abandoned his heel persona entirely, catering to a WrestleMania 18 audience ferociously cheering Hulk following his surprising WWE return just a month earlier.

Ever the professional, Rock rolled with the punches, subtly turning himself heel for the night upon realising how effortlessly Hogan had stolen the crowd.

As a wrestling match, it has few redeeming features, but as a spectacle, it's virtually unmatched.
