The Complete A-Z Of WrestleMania

1. Z - Zenith

More than the pageantry and spectacle on the night itself, WrestleMania still remains a wrestling show, more-often-than-not providing a payoff to a long-simmering feud or the success story of a top babyface climbing WWE's biggest mountain.

Short of a few notable exceptions (and in recent years, the crowd's growing rejection of WWE babyfaces), WrestleMania remains the perfect place for talent to reach their career zenith.

Randy Savge, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, John Cena and Batista all won their first World Titles at WrestleMania, creating the perfect launching pad for historic maiden reigns. Savage would actually win his second there, with Austin and Cena also claiming gold again at later iterations of the event.

Entire eras have reached their pinnacle at WrestleMania, with 'Attitude' peaking in 2001, WWE's presence in the mid-80's US entertainment zeitgeist (allegedly) drawing 93,173 to WrestleMania 3, and The Undertaker's fabled 21-year 'Streak' dissolving less than hour before Daniel Bryan's unlikely moment of glory at WrestleMania 30.

WWE's never-ending schedule does not permit total finality, but WrestleMania routinely gives audiences a fleeting taste of conclusiveness that no other show can deliver, usually in the most spectacular manner imaginable.
