The Disturbing Truth Behind WWE's Recent Controversial Decision

The first match ended inconclusively as pretext to a rematch in the same punishingly familiar mode with which WWE has haemorrhaged viewers for years now. Lee won the second match emphatically, but didn't benefit from it (?). He was protected - that word has lost all meaning - because Orton pinned Seth Rollins to earn his rematch (Jesus Christ) against Drew McIntyre at Clash of Champions. Then, on this week's RAW, to no fanfare and for no discernible storyline reason, WWE ran the match back again.

14 days. This process usually takes three weeks, but this, one supposes, is what happens when Vince McMahon doesn't look at anything until the day of the show, is handed last week's script in error, and deems it acceptable.

It was likely doomed from day one; literally, the very first second we laid on eyes on the RAW version of the Keith Lee character. He emerged wearing a skin-tight t-shirt that sought to conceal his body - but only succeeded in exposing what Vince McMahon thought of him. Lee also wore a swimming cossie underneath.

Much like Killian Dain in 2018, he covered up his awesome, imposing and gnarly hoss body because Vince McMahon is a muscles guy and didn't think you'd want to see a dreaded fat guy on television, unless that person is comedic relief, like Otis.

Vince McMahon's general approach to the naturally larger gentlemen is thus:

1) Figure o' fun!

2) Replacement for juiced-up behemoths in the mid 1990s, before he simply allowed the drug culture to seep back into his locker room.

There is no 3) - Guy who looks like he could toss hapless pricks around like sacks of sh*t, and who gives a flying f*ck if he has a spare tyre.
