The Fiend: All Live Appearances Ranked From Worst To Best

6. The Fiend attacks Jerry Lawler

This one changed up the formula a bit. Jerry “The King” Lawler was the first Superstar to appear in any way wise to The Fiend’s plans.

“Oh no, no no, I’ve seen this before.”

As the lights started switching off with that familiar, ominous “thunk”, Lawler realised what was happening and tried to make good his escape, hightailing it back down the entrance ramp. He made it as far as the stage but couldn’t escape the inevitable. The Fiend looming up behind him out of nowhere provided a memorably creepy visual. Then he downed ‘The King’ with a Mandible Claw.

There was something for everyone here. Attitude era nostalgists got to see a fondly remembered hero and everyone else saw an old chauvinist get destroyed by a monster.

Fun!
