The Godfather Talks Invite-Only Gathering Night Before The Undertaker's "Final Farewell"
The Undertaker reunited with old friends the night before his WWE Survivor Series 2020 retirement.
Whilst speaking to Sports Illustrated recently, The Godfather revealed that a number of The Undertaker's closest pals met up for an invite-only gathering the night before his Survivor Series 2020 "Final Farewell".
On the night of the PPV itself, a whole host of wrestling stars from the past and present made their way to the ring to pay tribute to the 30-year legacy of "The Phenom". Yet, it sounds like the real celebration took place on the Saturday night.
According to The Godfather, various members of the Bone Street Crew - 'Taker's travelling crew from the old days - and a few others all attended the meet-up where "no food was served" and beer and whiskey were the only items on the menu. Savio Vega, Rikishi, Henry and Phineas Godwin, Booker T and former WWE Official Tim White were all in attendance on the night.
As The Godfather put it:
"For that one night, the past came back to life. If you didn't know any better, it felt like it was 20 years ago. We told stories, we hugged, we cried—and we put Timmy White to bed, just like we used to back in the day."
Speaking about the man of the hour himself and his illustrious career as The Undertaker, The Godfather added:
"Mark is honest, he respects the business and he never forgets about his friends. He changed the business, especially for big men. He's one of a kind. All of us that could be there on Saturday were there, and we had a hell of a night. I'll remember it forever."
The WWE Hall of Famer also posted an image from the night he now holds so dear on Instagram.
Though you can never say never in the land of professional wrestling, if this was the genuine conclusion for "The Deadman" in WWE, it wasn't a bad way to go out.
