4. Team Hell No Kane

After the initial disappointment of Embrace the Hate Kane, the career of the Big Red Machine was somewhat reinvigorated by the establishment of the oddest of odd couples. Kane's summer championship challenge meant that he crossed paths with Daniel Bryan, and AJ Lee's ascension to the position of General Manager on RAW meant bad times ahead for both.

AJ Lee forced Kane and Bryan to go to anger management classes, and whilst that may have sounded ridiculous initially it proved to be a creative masterstroke as the two men shined. Chemistry is impossible to force in professional wrestling, and the weird duo of Kane and Daniel Bryan had it in spades.

The duo were quickly transitioned into tag team competition and dubbed Team Hell No, picking up the tag team gold in no time. Over the course of the next year or so Kane and Bryan went from bickering foes to the closest of friends, and whilst their friendship couldn't survive Bryan's beef with The Authority it certainly did refresh Kane somewhat in the eyes of the audience.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
