The Miz Defends WWE Intercontinental Title Against Dolph Ziggler In TLC Ladder Match
One last battle in a classic feud.
The long-running feud between WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz and Dolph Ziggler will finally come to an end at the TLC Pay-Per-View, when the two men battle one last time in a ladder match.
On Smackdown, The Miz was forced to defend his title against former United States Champion Kalisto. Miz was able to pick up the victory after some interference from Baron Corbin, but Dolph met him on the entrance ramp with a Superkick. When The Miz complained to Smackdown GM Daniel Bryan backstage, Bryan booked the match and declared that no matter who wins, it would be the last bout between the men.
Though Miz and Dolph have feuded before, the most recent chapter in their war began in September when Dolph challenged The Miz to a title match on behalf of Daniel Bryan, whom Miz had insulted. Miz was able to steal victory from his rival a number of times, but when Dolph put his career on the line against the title at No Mercy, he was finally able to make good on his promise and become champion. Last week on Smackdown's 900th episode, though, The Miz won the title back in a rematch.
TLC airs live on the WWE Network on December 4 at 8:00 PM ET.
