Things got super weird as WWE promoted Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead last night.

Last night's WWE WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view took a supernatural turn, as the company had a gang of extras dressed as zombies surround the ring for The Miz and Damian Priest's lumberjack match.

Miz's tag team partner, John Morrison, was accosted by the flesh-eaters backstage. He later warned Miz that the lumberjacks would be zombies, but the former WWE Champion didn't believe him.

Cue: the zombies completely dominating a seven-minute midcard match, which Priest won after hitting Miz with Hit the Lights.

Much of the clash revolved around Miz trying to run away from the undead. Though the horde targeted Priest as well, Damian was more successful in fighting them off, with Miz and Morrison ultimately "devoured" by the zombies after the match.

Yes, the zombies pretended to eat the former WWE Champion after the bell. Morrison had already been dragged over the barricade by part of the horde by this point, seemingly meeting the same fate.

The zombies were brought in to promote Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead movie, starring former WWE Champion Batista. As previously reported, the horde was largely comprised of Performance Center personnel, including Scotty 2 Hotty.
