The New Day To Turn Face Soon?

Program with The League of Nations still planned for WrestleMania

In the weeks since WWE teased a feud between The New Day and The League of Nations, the program has barely been acknowledged on TV. Still, according to a recent report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer, a match between the teams is still scheduled for WrestleMania, and the endgame is to turn the WWE Tag Team Champions face. The League of Nations first challenged The New Day at Fastlane, and since then, the WWE Tag Team Champions have been insulting the heel stable in videos online. Still, apart from a few mentions of the New Day's videos by announcers, the champs have been feuding solely with Chris Jericho and AJ Styles. Now that that brief program is done, the issue with The League of Nations is expected to be rekindled. Rather than just being a placeholder feud for the champs, Meltzer mentioned that "there is a real reason for doing this match." The New Day are expected to be babyfaces coming out of WrestleMania, although the exact direction the trio will take following the show of shows is unknown. Given that Xavier Woods, Big E, and Kofi Kingston are among the most talented members of the WWE roster, they'll hopefully be playing an even more prominent role in company programming come spring.
