The REAL Reason John Cena And Daniel Bryan Are Missing WWE Crown Jewel

Speculatively, but with much circumstantial evidence on the table, the respective career and moral paths of John Cena and Daniel Bryan are the real reasons they'll miss WWE Crown Jewel.

But they're in rarified air in WWE. Bryan might not get another crack at a top title as result of this perceived unreliability considering the fact that they'll be going there twice a year for the next nine, but he's a guy that didn't even seem that moved by signing a new contract earlier this year. The life of Bryan beyond Vince McMahon's four walls would see him as something of a messiah, not a very naughty boy.

Similarly, you could probably count the fingers on one five knuckle shuffle the times John Cena has said to no to Vince McMahon - but this is perhaps the safest bet for both. A Hollywood John is a healthy John, and a healthy John is one McMahon can call upon as a domestic business booster if he's got a panic on. They've probably had this exact chat, in fact.

But Titus O'Neil isn't John Cena. Aiden English isn't John Cena. Squint all you want but even Finn Bálor isn't John Cena. They'll all go if they're told because they can't risk the ramifications.

John Cena and Daniel Bryan's lives won't suffer too greatly for this largely selfless act loaded with earnest purity. But they are sadly not the solution for fellow stars that perhaps share their sentiment.
